Spain-based Isolux Corsan has received a $335m contract to build a 340MW combined-cycle power station in Siddhirganj, Bangladesh.

The company will deliver the contract for the Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh (EGCB).

The new power station will be connected to the electrical grid through a 230kV line and will also be connected to the existing gas network in the area.

The contract will be implemented in 30 months.

EGCB also awarded the group the construction of another 180MW power plant in Khulna, at an investment of $160m.
