Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by AMEA Power. The company has a stake of 100%.

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 92 hectares.

The project is expected to generate 89,300MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 222,000 households. The project is expected to offset 1,139,691t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2020. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by June 2021.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Compagnie Energie Electrique du Togo under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years. The offtake capacity is expected to be 50MW.

Contractors involved

Jakson is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

JinkoSolar Holding will be the supplier of the PV modules for the solar power project. The company is expected to install 127,344 modules at the site.

The project will utilise trackers likely to be supplied by GameChange Solar.

AMEA Power and Jakson are expected to be contracted for rendering of operations & maintenance services for the project.
