SOLV Energy, an infrastructure services provider to the power industry, has secured contracts to construct more than 6GW of utility-scale solar and storage projects across the US.

The projects, announced at the CLEANPOWER 2025 conference in Phoenix, Arizona, span Arizona, California, Mississippi, Nevada, Oregon and Texas.

The projects include assets owned by long-standing customers such as Arevon, Clēnera and Sol Systems, and new customers iNewSun Energy, Enfinity Global, and Panamint Capital.

Construction mobilisations for these projects will begin in 2025.

SOLV Energy is investing in the expansion of its workforce and training programmes to meet increasing power demand.

The company is recruiting local project managers who are familiar with regional conditions, permitting processes and regulatory requirements.

This strategic hiring is aimed at enhancing project management and ensuring compliance with local standards.

SOLV Energy CEO George Hershman stated: “Demand for energy is continuing to grow rapidly and we are committed to investing in the capabilities our customers need for larger and increasingly complex power projects.

“The significant number of projects that we have been awarded so far this year shows that customers recognise the investments we have made to expand our capabilities, and our value as a true lifecycle provider.”

SOLV Energy is broadening its self-perform capabilities to hasten construction schedules, improve quality and lower costs for customers. This expansion includes the acquisition of SDI Services, formerly known as Sacramento Drilling, in January 2025.

The acquisition provides SOLV Energy with the in-house solar predrill and pile foundation capabilities essential for managing complex projects in varied terrains and environmental conditions.
