Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Management Occupations, which accounted for 11% of the total new job postings in Q4 2023 and were down by 75% year-on-year. Second highest were Architecture and Engineering Occupations, which accounted for 11% and drop by 37% year-on-year, and third highest were Computer and Mathematical Occupations, which were 31% of the new job postings and 55% lower year-on-year.
Top five companies in power industry accounted for 52% of hiring activity
The highest number of jobs were posted by Hydro-Quebec with 366, followed by Fortis with 210, while the highest increase was at Atco at 14%.
