A recently granted patent (Publication Number: US11875711B2) discloses an illuminated display device comprising a hinge post, a support post, and at least one support arm pivotably coupled to the hinge post. The device includes a display assembly with at least one digital display screen supported by the support arm. The display assembly or the support arm is positioned to overlie the top of the support post when in the first position. The device also features a control cabinet mounted to the lower support arm and a speakerphone assembly mounted to one of the support arms or the hinge post. Additionally, a stop is mounted to the hinge post to abut the support arm, and a shroud partially encloses the support post when the support arm is in the first position.

Moreover, the patent also describes a method for servicing the illuminated display device installed adjacent to a permanent structure. The method involves pivoting the display assembly away from the permanent structure, servicing the device, pivoting the display assembly back towards the structure, and positioning the display assembly or the support arm to overlie the top of the support post. The method includes disengaging the support arm from the support post, which involves loosening and sliding a support bracket along the support post to clear the way for the shroud. To re-engage the support arm with the support post, the support bracket is slid back into place and fixed to the support post. This method allows for efficient servicing of the illuminated display device without the need for complex disassembly procedures.
