The project was developed by Amec Foster Wheeler Energia and is currently owned by Aanevoima.

The process of combustion has been adopted in this co-firing project to release the stored energy from the feed. Agricultural by-product, municipal solid waste and wood by-product are used as a feedstock to power the project.

Contractors involved

Amec Foster Wheeler Energia was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the biopower project.

Siemens was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the project. The company supplied Backpressure model turbines for the project.

Amec Foster Wheeler Energia supplied steam boiler for the project. The temperature witnessed inside the boiler is around 535Degree Celsius. The steam is pressurized inside the boiler at 105bar.Siemens supplied the electric generator for the project.
