Description

The project is being developed by Changfang Wind Power and Fuhai Wind Farm. Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners KS and Global Renewable Synergy are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 62.5% and 25% respectively. The project will be spread over an area of 92.7km². The turbines will be mounted on fixed three-legged jacket foundations and will be interconnected by 66kV inter-array cable.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the Changfang Offshore Wind Project (Changfang Offshore Wind Project Phase I) will be sold to Taiwan Power under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.204kWh for a period of 20 years. The capacity to be procured is 95MW.

The power generated from the Changfang Offshore Wind Project (Changfang Offshore Wind Project Phase II) will be sold to Taiwan Power under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.204kWh for a period of 20 years. The capacity to be procured is 446.5MW.

Contractors involved

Vestas Offshore Wind will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 57 units of V174-9.5 MW turbines, each with 9.5MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Offshore Wind is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the Changfang Offshore Wind Project (Changfang Offshore Wind Project Phase I) for a period of 16 years.

Vestas Offshore Wind is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the Changfang Offshore Wind Project (Changfang Offshore Wind Project Phase II) for a period of 15 years.

Chin Fong Machine Industrial and CS Wind are expected to supply towers for the project.
