Description

The project was developed by BP Energy India and is currently owned by Sembcorp Green Infra with a stake of 100%.

The project generates 83,246MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 160,000 households, offsetting 70,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution under a power purchase agreement for a period of 13 years, starting from 2007.

Contractors involved

Suzlon Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 32 units of S70-1.25 MW turbines, each with 1.25MW nameplate capacity.

Suzlon Infrastructure Services is the O&M contractor for the wind power project.
