The project is being developed by Enel Green Power and Moonies Hill Energy. Enel Green Power, Inpex and Moonies Hill Energy are currently owning the project.

The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 90,000 households, to offset 451,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the Flat Rocks Wind Farm (Flat Rocks Wind Farm I) will be sold to BHP Group under a power purchase agreement for a period of 12 years. The offtake capacity is expected to be 75.6MW.

Contractors involved

Flat Rocks Wind Farm (Flat Rocks Wind Farm I) will be equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V150-4.2 MW turbines. The phase consists of 18 turbines with 4.2MW nameplate capacity.

Flat Rocks Wind Farm (Flat Rocks Wind Farm II) will be equipped with Vestas Wind Systems turbines. The phase consists of 24 turbines, each with 4.2MW nameplate capacity.
