Description

The project is being developed by MPM Oji Eco-Energy. OJI Green Resources and Mitsubishi Paper Mills are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 55% and 45% respectively.

The project is expected to generate 530GWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 150,000 households.

The process of combustion will be adopted in this co-firing project to release the stored energy from the feed. Agricultural by-product and wood by-product will be used as a feedstock to power the project.

Development status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.

Contractors involved

JFE Engineering is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the biopower project.

Valmet is likely to be the supplier of the steam boiler for the project. The boiler that will get installed at the site is expected to have a capacity of 235TPH.

Mitsubishi Paper Mills is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the project.
