Description

The project is developed and owned by Iran Water and Power Resources Development.

The hydro reservoir capacity is 3,000 million cubic meter. The net head of the project is 161m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 8 in number. Farab was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the hydro power project.

Harbin Turbine was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 8 units of francis turbines, each with 250MW nameplate capacity.

Andritz Hydro supplied electric generator(s) for the project. The generator capacity is 263 MVA.
