Description

The project was developed by EDP Renovaveis Portugal and Eneop-Eolicas de Portugal. EDP Renovaveis and ACE Investment Fund are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.

The project generates 131,400MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 27,380 households.

The power generated from the project is sold to Redes Energeticas Nacionais under a power purchase agreement.

Vila Nova (Vila Nova Phase I A) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V80-2.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 10 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Vila Nova (Vila Nova Phase I B) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V80-2.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 3 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Vila Nova (Vila Nova Phase I C) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V90-2.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 2 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Vila Nova (Vila Nova Phase II A) is equipped with Enercon E-82 E2 / 2,000 kW turbines. The phase consists of 12 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Vila Nova (Vila Nova Phase II B) is equipped with Enercon turbines. The phase consists of 2 turbines, each with 2.3MW nameplate capacity.

Edp Distribuicao - Energia is the O&M contractor for the wind power project.
