Description
The project was developed by Eneco UK, Groningen Seaports, Wirsol Solar and Zonnepark Valgenweg. The project is co-owned by Bronnen Vanons ZP Assen Zuid, Eneco, Groningen Seaports and Wircon, with their respective ownership stake of 25% each.
Zonnepark Delfzijl Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 16 hectares.
The project generates 17,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 6,500 households, offsetting 8,750t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The project consists of 31,176 modules.
Development status
The project got commissioned in October 2023.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Axpo Italia under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years. The contracted capacity is 17GWh.
