Spain’s power industry registered an 8.1% rise in IT hiring activity in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 6.68% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 11.39% share in November 2021, recording a decrease of 0.5% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Spain’s power industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s power industry in November 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 56.41% in November 2021, registering a 29.03% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 28.21% share, an increase of 57.14% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 5.13%, registering a flat growth from October 2021.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 5.13%, flat growth over the previous month.

Top five power companies in Spain’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 2.63% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s power industry during November 2021 over October 2021.

Senvion posted 10 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a rise of 42.86% over the previous month, followed by Siemens with 9 jobs and a 28.57% growth. Enel with 9 IT jobs and Nordex with 7 jobs, recorded a 47.06% decline and a 16.67% growth, respectively, while Solar Monkey recorded an increase of 100% with 2 job postings during November 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.67%, down by 27.78% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 20.51% share, registered an increase of 700% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10.26% share, up 100% over October 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 2.56%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
