Abqaiq Cogeneration Plant is a 360MW gas fired power project. It is located in Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 2014 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in June 2017.

The project was developed by Power Cogeneration Plant. Saudi Aramco Power, Marubeni, JGC Holdings and Aljomaih Holding are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50%, 25%, 15% and 10% respectively.
It is a Gas Turbine with Cogen power plant.
The project cost is $650m.
The project construction commenced in 2014 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in June 2017.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Saudi Arabian Oil under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
Samsung Engineering was selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 2 units of 7FA gas turbines.
S&T supplied steam boiler for the project.
Aljomaih Holding, JGC Holdings and Marubeni were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.
