Aichi Tahara Biomass Power Plant, Japan

Aichi Tahara Biomass Power Plant is a 75MW biopower project. It is planned in Aichi, Japan. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2021 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in October 2024.

Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by JAG Energy, Marubeni and Osaka Gas. The company’s ownership stake in the project stands as 37.5%, 37.5% and 25% respectively.

The project cost is expected to be around $313.194m.

Wood pellets which is a kind of wood by-product will be used as a feedstock to power the project.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by October 2024.
