The project was developed by Consorcio Eolico Amayo and is currently owned by Inkia Energy with a stake of 61%.
The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 175,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Distribuidora del Electricidad del Sur and Empresa Distribuidora de Electricidad del Norte are the power offtakers from the project.
Suzlon Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 30 units of S88-2.1 MW turbines, each with 2.1MW nameplate capacity.
Suzlon Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 5 years.
