Description
The project was developed by First Solar and Helios Energy. Enbridge and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.
Amherstburg Solar Farm II is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 154 acres.
The project generates 23,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 2,400 households, offsetting 8,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Ontario Power Authority under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
