The Angora Gas Fired Power Project is 1,560MW gas fired power project. It is planned in Surxondaryo, Uzbekistan. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2022 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2024.

Description
It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant.
The project cost is expected to be around $1,200m.
Development Status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors Involved
Siemens Energy will be the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project.
