The project is developed and owned by Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam. The company has a stake of 100%.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant that is used for Baseload. The fuel is procured from Kharia, Kakri and Bheena Open Coal Mines of NCL.

The project generated 362,754MWh of electricity.
