Description

The project is developed and owned by Duke Energy Progress.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Fuel Oil.

The project cost is $817m.

McDermott International was selected to render EPC services for the dual-fuel fired power project.

Asheville New Power Plant (Asheville New Power Plant Unit I) is equipped with GE Power 7FA.04 gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 191.2MW nameplate capacity.

Asheville New Power Plant (Asheville New Power Plant Unit II) is equipped with GE Power 7FA.04 gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 191.2MW nameplate capacity.
