T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in December 2019 with 291 tenders and a 50.8% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 105 tenders and an 18.3% share and Generation Equipment with 81 tenders and a 14.1% share during the month.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 54 tenders and a 66.7% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 27 tenders and a 33.3% share.
Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific generation equipment tenders in December 2019
Looking at generation equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for 72 tenders with an 88.9% share, followed by solar with eight tenders and a 9.9% share and hydro with one tender and a 1.2% share.
