T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in February 2020 with 262 tenders and a 50.3% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 103 tenders and a 19.8% share and Generation Equipment with 79 tenders and a 15.2% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 61 tenders and a 77.2% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 18 tenders and a 22.8% share.

Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific generation equipment tenders in February 2020

Looking at generation equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for 73 tenders with a 92.4% share, followed by solar with four tenders and a 5.1% share and hydro with two tenders and a 2.5% share.
