T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in July 2020 with 148 tenders and a 35.6% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 134 tenders and a 32.2% share and Power Plant with 91 tenders and a 21.9% share during the month.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 18 tenders and a 56.3% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 13 tenders and a 40.6% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: one tender and a 3.1% share.
Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific generation equipment tenders in July 2020
Looking at generation equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for 21 tenders with a 65.6% share, followed by hydro with eight tenders and a 25% share and solar with three tenders and a 9.4% share.
