T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in June 2020 with 179 tenders and a 41.9% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 126 tenders and a 29.5% share and Power Plant with 79 tenders and an 18.5% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 27 tenders and a 77.1% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: seven tenders and a 20% share
  3. Consulting & Similar Services: one tender and a 2.9% share.

Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific generation equipment tenders in June 2020

Looking at generation equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for 24 tenders with a 68.6% share, followed by solar with eight tenders and a 22.9% share and hydro with three tenders and an 8.6% share.
