T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in Q4 2019 with 991 tenders and a 53.3% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 335 tenders and an 18% share and Generation Equipment with 277 tenders and a 14.9% share during the quarter.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 213 tenders and a 76.9% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 64 tenders and a 23.1% share.

Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific generation equipment tenders in Q4 2019

Looking at generation equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for 247 tenders with an 89.8% share, followed by solar with 17 tenders and a 6.2% share and hydro with 11 tenders and a 4% share.
