T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in September 2019 with 222 tenders and a 51.3% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 79 tenders and an 18.2% share and Generation Equipment with 65 tenders and a 15% share during the month.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 46 tenders and a 70.8% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 19 tenders and a 29.2% share.
Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific generation equipment tenders in September 2019
Looking at generation equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for 61 tenders with a 92.4% share, followed by hydro with four tenders and a 6.1% share and solar with one tender and a 1.5% share.
