T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in July 2021 with 67 tenders and a 33.7% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 53 tenders and a 26.6% share and Power Plant with 35 tenders and a 17.6% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 29 tenders and a 54.7% share
  2. Supply & Erection: 24 tenders and a 45.3% share.

Looking at generation equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for 49 tenders with a 92.5% share, followed by nuclear with two tenders and a 3.8% share and solar with one tender and a 1.9% share.
