T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in November 2020 with 142 tenders and a 40.3% share, followed by T&D Project with 105 tenders and a 29.8% share and Power Plant with 59 tenders and a 16.8% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 50 tenders and an 84.7% share
  2. Consulting & Similar Services: five tenders and an 8.5% share
  3. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: four tenders and a 6.8% share.

Solar is top technology for Asia-Pacific power plant tenders in November 2020

Looking at power plant tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, solar accounted for 53 tenders with an 88.3% share, followed by hydro with four tenders and a 6.7% share and wind with two tenders and a 3.3% share.

Asia-Pacific power plant tenders in November 2020: Top issuers by capacity

The top issuers of power plant tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:

  1. Germany Trade And Invest (Germany): 900MW from one tender
  2. Gujarat State Electricity (India): 140MW from one tender
