T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in Q3 2021 with 217 tenders and a 36.5% share, followed by Power Plant with 125 tenders and a 21% share and Generation Equipment with 109 tenders and an 18.3% share during the quarter.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 101 tenders and an 80.8% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: 14 tenders and an 11.2% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: ten tenders and an 8% share.

The top issuers of power plant tenders for the quarter in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:
- NHPC (India): 2,345MW from six tenders
- Solar Energy Corporation of India (India): 1,301MW from three tenders
