T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in August 2021 with 65 tenders and a 38.5% share, followed by Power Plant with 34 tenders and a 20.1% share and Generation Equipment with 32 tenders and an 18.9% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 30 tenders and an 88.2% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: two tenders and a 5.9% share
  3. Consulting & Similar Services: two tenders and a 5.9% share.

The top issuers of power plant tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:

  1. NHPC (India): 700MW from three tenders
  2. National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan (Uzbekistan): 500MW from one tender
  3. Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution (India): 487MW capacity from one tender.
