T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in October 2021 with 42 tenders and a 32.8% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 25 tenders and a 19.5% share and Power Plant with 24 tenders and an 18.8% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 20 tenders and an 83.3% share
  2. Consulting & Similar Services: four tenders and a 16.7% share.

The top issuers of power plant tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:

  1. Solar Energy Corporation of India (India): 2,400MW from two tenders
  2. Rewa Ultra Mega Solar (India): 950MW from one tender
  3. Singareni Collieries (India): 250MW capacity from one tender.
