T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in January 2021 with 63 tenders and a 31.8% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 59 tenders and a 29.8% share and Power Plant with 39 tenders and a 19.7% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 42 tenders and a 71.2% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 12 tenders and a 20.3% share
  3. Project Implementation: five tenders and an 8.5% share.

Hydro is top technology for Asia-Pacific T&D equipment tenders in January 2021

Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, hydro accounted for one tender with a 50% share, followed by thermal with one tender and a 50% share.
