Description

The project was developed by Engie Brasil Energia and Martifer Renewables SGPS. Engie and Others are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 68.71% and 31.29% respectively.

Assu Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 72 hectares.

The project generates 80,647.2MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 130,000 households, offsetting 46,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project consists of 320,000 modules, each with 115W nameplate capacity.

Development status

The project got commissioned in December 2017.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Camara de Comercializacao de Energia Eletrica under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.093kWh for a period of 20 years.

Contractors involved

Seta Engenharia was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

The project is utilising horizontal single axis trackers supplied by STI Norland.
