Description
The project is being developed by Delta Offshore Energy and Energy Capital Vietnam. The project is currently owned by Delta Offshore Energy.
It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant. The fuel will be procured from magnolia lng llc.
The project cost is expected to be around $4,000m.
Development Status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Vietnam Electricity under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.07kWh for a period of 25 years.
Contractors Involved
Bechtel is expected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.
Bac Lieu Gas Fired Power Project (Bac Lieu Gas Fired Power Project Phase I) will be equipped with GE Power 9HA.02 gas turbines.
Bac Lieu Gas Fired Power Project (Bac Lieu Gas Fired Power Project Phase II) will be equipped with GE Power 9HA.02 gas turbines.
Bac Lieu Gas Fired Power Project (Bac Lieu Gas Fired Power Project Phase III) will be equipped with GE Power 9HA.02 gas turbines.
Bac Lieu Gas Fired Power Project (Bac Lieu Gas Fired Power Project Phase IV) will be equipped with GE Power 9HA.02 gas turbines.
