Description

The project is being developed by Baltic Power. Orlen and NP Baltic Wind are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.

The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 1,000,000 households. The project will be spread over an area of 131km². The turbines will be mounted on fixed monopile foundations.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2024. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2026.

Contractors involved

Vestas Offshore Wind will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company is expected to provide 76 units of V236-15.0 MW turbines, each with 15MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Offshore Wind is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the wind power project for a period of 15 years.
