BARD Offshore I, Germany

BARD Offshore I is a 400MW offshore wind power project. The project is located in North Sea, Germany. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. The project construction commenced in 2010 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2010.

Description

The project is currently owned by Ocean Breeze with a stake of 100%.

The wind turbines in the project are installed on fixed foundations. An array of tripile foundations feature in the project.

The project generates 1,500,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 430,000 households, offsetting 452,061t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project construction commenced in 2010 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2010.

Contractors Involved

Ocean Breeze was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.

BARD Engineering was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 80 units of BARD 5.0 turbines, each with 5MW nameplate capacity.

OWS Off-Shore Wind Solutions is the O&M contractor for the wind power project, commencing from the year 2014.
