Bay State Wind Offshore is a 2,000MW offshore wind power project. It is planned in Atlantic Ocean, Massachusetts, the US. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in multiple phases. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2026.

Description

The project is being developed by Bay State Wind. The project is co-owned by Eversource Energy and Orsted US Offshore Wind, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 1,000,000 households. The project will be spread over an area of 89.9km². The turbines will be mounted on a fixed monopile foundation.

Development Status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2026.
