Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by NamPower.
The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 2,650 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project will be 200m. The project is expected to generate 1,610 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $1,200m.
The hydro power project consists of 2 turbines, each with 71MW nameplate capacity.
The hydro power project consists of 3 turbines, each with 156.75MW nameplate capacity.
Development Status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2023. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2029.
