Description
The project was developed by Constructions Industrielles de la Mediterranee and Lagan Specialist Contracting Group. The project is currently owned by Valencia Waste Management.
The project supplies enough clean energy to power 30,000 households, offsetting 128,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Refuse which is a kind of municipal solid waste is used as a feedstock to power the project.

Martin Engineering supplied steam boiler for the project. The boiler installed at the site has a capacity of 19.8TPH.
Valmet is the O&M contractor for the project for a period of 3 years.
