Description
The project was developed by China Energy Engineering, National Electric Power and Northeast China International Electric Power. The project is currently owned by Summit Bibiyana II Power with a stake of 100%.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The fuel is procured from Bibiyana Gas Field.
The project cost is $300m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in December 2015.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Bangladesh Power Development Board under a power purchase agreement for a period of 22 years.
Contractors Involved
China Energy Engineering, National Electric Power and Northeast China International Electric Power were selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.
The Gas fired project have been supplied by GE Power and Harbin Turbine.
GE Power supplied electric generator for the project.
Hangzhou Boiler Group supplied steam boiler for the project.
