Bihai is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 0.64 million cubic meter. The net head of the project is 416.8m. The project generated 237 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $569m.

Bharat Heavy Electricals was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 1 unit of pelton turbine with 62.5MW nameplate capacity.
