Boca de Jaruco Power Plant is a 312.5MW gas fired power project. It is located in Mayabeque, Cuba. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 2007.

Description

The project is co-owned by Cuba Petroleo , Sherritt International and Union Electrica de Cuba , with their respective ownership stake of 33% each.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Fuel Oil.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in 2007.

The Gas fired project have been supplied by Doosan Skoda Power and GE Power.

GE Power supplied electric generator for the project.

Innovative Steam Technologies supplied steam boiler for the project.
