Description
The project was developed by NRG Solar and is currently owned by Clearway Energy with a stake of 100%.
Borrego Solar Project is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 308 acres.
The project supplies enough clean energy to power 20,800 households. The project cost is $101.776m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in February 2013.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to San Diego Gas & Electric under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years, starting from 2013.
Contractors Involved
Sunora Energy Solutions was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
SunPower was selected as the supplier of PV modules for the project.
The inverters were procured from SunPower for the project.
