Description

The project was developed by GHESA Ingenieria y Tecnologia. Acciona Energia and Ente Regional de la Energia de Castilla y Leon are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 85% and 15% respectively.

The project generates 128GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 40,000 households, offsetting 123,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Agricultural by-product and wood by-product are used as a feedstock to power the project.

Development status

The project got commissioned in September 2010.

Contractors involved

Franco Tosi Meccanica was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the project.
