The project was developed by Speedway Solar NC and is currently owned by Duke Energy Renewables with a stake of 100%.

Cabarrus DER Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 185 acres.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 5,000 households. The project cost is $27.165m.

Swinerton Renewable Energy was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
