Description

The project was developed by NextEra Energy Resources. GE Energy Financial Services, JPMorgan Chase and NextEra Energy Resources are currently owning the project.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 220,000 households, offsetting 952,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in 2007.

Contractors Involved

Capricorn Ridge (Capricorn Ridge I) is equipped with GE Renewable Energy turbines. The phase consists of 143 turbines, each with 1.5MW nameplate capacity.

Capricorn Ridge (Capricorn Ridge II) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SWT-2.3-93 turbines. The phase consists of 65 turbines with 2.3MW nameplate capacity.

Capricorn Ridge (Capricorn Ridge III) is equipped with GE Renewable Energy turbines. The phase consists of 95 turbines, each with 1.5MW nameplate capacity.

Capricorn Ridge (Capricorn Ridge IV) is equipped with GE Renewable Energy turbines. The phase consists of 104 turbines, each with 1.5MW nameplate capacity.
