Cardano is a run-of-river project. The gross head of the project is 330m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 5 in number. The penstock diameter is 2.8m. The project generated 659 GWh of electricity.

The hydro power project consists of 5 turbines, each with 33MW nameplate capacity.

The project has 5 electric generators installed at the site. The generator capacity is 36 MVA.
