The project is developed and owned by Cerro del Aguila.
Cerro Del Aguila is a run-of-river project. The gross head and net head of the project are 276.04m and 267.59m respectively. The project generated 3,038 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $959m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in 2016.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Empresa Electricidad del Peru under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years. The contracted capacity is 200MW.
Contractors Involved
AENZA SAA and Astaldi were selected to render EPC services for the hydro power project.
Andritz Hydro was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 3 units of francis turbines, each with 171.3MW nameplate capacity.
Andritz Hydro supplied electric generator(s) for the project. The generator capacity is 201.3 MVA.
