Description

The project is currently owned by Virginia Electric and Power.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Columbia Gas Transmission, Dominion Transmission, Inc..

The project generated 2,486,851MWh of electricity.

Chesterfield Combined Cycle Power Plant (Chesterfield Combined Cycle Power Plant Block I) is equipped with GE Power Frame 7 gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 145MW nameplate capacity.

Chesterfield Combined Cycle Power Plant (Chesterfield Combined Cycle Power Plant Block II) is equipped with GE Power steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 79.2MW nameplate capacity.

GE Power supplied electric generator for the project.

The steam boilers for the gas fired power project have been supplied byGE Power and Vogt Power International.
